This course will be run by Neil MacGregor. It is designed to help leather workers  to sharpen and maintain their hand tools and to design and make simple aids/jigs to help with specific tasks in the workshop.

• the range of knives and what they are used for
• steel quality
• the sharpening angles
• sharpening methods

Edge Bevellers
Race ( chanelling tools)
Plough Gauge knives
Splitter blades

Jigs and aids for sharpening, preparing & stitching, tool covers, strop etc
